Eversheds (Ireland) upgrade to the BigHand 5 with additional task delegation module, BigHand Now

Eversheds (Ireland) announce plans to upgrade 170 of their users to the latest version of BigHand’s Digital Dictation software, BigHand 5, as well as including the additional task delegation module, BigHand Now. The decision comes as the firm continues to streamline and improve their back office processes, speci cally around the delegation of tasks like meeting room bookings and photocopying requests.

Eversheds (Ireland) discovered that their users were delegating tasks by recording the instructions as short Digital Dictations and entering these into the BigHand workflow, or using shared inboxes to move work around. This was impacting the firm’s ability to report on work accurately and meant that whoever was processing a task would have to go back and forth to collect additional information to be able to complete the work. BigHand Now is a tool that lets users digitalise their tasks and enter them into the BigHand work ow along with any supporting les so that all work types can be accessed from one place and prioritised, organised, monitored and reported upon with ease.

Nicholas Eustace, IT Director at Eversheds (Ireland) has used BigHand’s technology for years. He comments: “I have worked with many versions of BigHand and know that their software performs well and is completely reliable. I’m happy that we’re adopting BigHand 5 and BigHand Now at this early stage and am especially looking forward to seeing how BigHand Now helps the team delegate their tasks more quickly and easily.”

BigHand 5 and BigHand Now were released in October 2015 and have already generated considerable interest in the UK legal market, with Eversheds (Ireland) being one of many firms in the early stages of implementation. Ben Mills, Managing Director, UK Legal at BigHand comments: “We developed these solutions to make it simpler for our clients to move work around. It’s great to see rms like Eversheds (Ireland) adopting the technology early on as it’ll not only will it help save time and money, but will have really positive impact on the users.”

Eversheds (Ireland) are currently working with the BigHand team to implement BigHand 5 and BigHand Now and are expected to be fully up and running by April 2016.
