Time for a change?

After 10 years using an old PMS on a failing infrastructure, Practice Manager, Janet Lawrenson, and the Partners decided it was time for a major re-haul of both their network infrastructure and software systems. The practice had been experiencing significant deterioration in the speed in which they were able to work and use software applications, and trying to upgrade or add crucial patches and updates to their current system, such as a security patch for their online banking system, was near impossible.

The firm had also been experiencing some relationship issues with their supplier. Personnel were constantly changing removing a frontline contact for the business, and there was confusion as to the ongoing product strategy with a number of competing PMS systems being managed as a result of takeovers. Janet comments, “The decision to undertake a huge project such as this was not one taken lightly and it was important that we identified at the beginning exactly what our requirements were and what we were looking for in a potential supplier. Our criteria focused on reliability and commitment to developing and supporting their product, as well as our long term IT needs.”
