Leigh Day chooses Elite’s 3E in the cloud
Leading UK law firm Leigh Day will be adopting the cloud version of 3E, the market-leading financial and practice management solution from Elite, to support its continued growth.
Established in 1987, Leigh Day is renowned as a law firm which is not afraid to take on challenges that would daunt many others, including many ”David and Goliath” legal struggles for justice. The firm has a wide legal practice that spans domestic and international human rights, personal injury, clinical negligence, consumer, employment, and group claims. It retains a niche specialism in more complex personal injury and human rights law, and specializes in representing those who have suffered injury or a breach of their rights, against national and local government authorities and powerful commercial organizations. It now has nearly 300 lawyers and a total team of nearly 800 based in eight locations across the UK, and it is one of The Times top 100 law firms.
Leigh Day has grown significantly over the past decade, and its current practice management solution was not well suited to handle the complexities that come with such growth, nor the multi-faceted work which the firm undertakes. Instead, the firm needed a modern, future-proof SaaS platform that is better suited to supporting mass litigation claim management, as well as handling complex multi-matter billing and operating in multiple currencies.
By choosing 3E, Leigh Day will be adopting the most functionally robust solution in the market, with the ability to deliver huge operational benefits to the firm, including automated workflows, real-time insights, and cutting-edge analytics. In addition, 3E will seamlessly integrate with the firm’s other technology solutions, including its newly selected case management platform (ShareDo).
Going forward, the firm will now be supported by a fully managed service provided by Elite, powered by the Microsoft Azure platform and offering cloud confidence with nearly unlimited scale, 24/7 monitoring, and advanced security that is unmatched in the industry.
“We have grown significantly over the past 10 years, and it is critical for us to have confidence that the platform we have chosen has both the longevity to last and the scalability to support our growth journey,” commented Chris Benson, Managing Partner at Leigh Day. “By choosing Elite and 3E, we believe we can deliver robust business outcomes for the firm and even better service and results for our clients.”
“Given our firm’s size and complexity, we required a core technology platform that provided capability, flexibility, and scalability, and we are confident that moving to 3E will offer the longevity to support us for at least the next decade,” said James Harrison, IT Director at Leigh Day. “As well as meeting our robust technical requirements, it was also important that the partner we selected was a fit with our ethos, and the Elite team was clearly aligned with our culture and values as an organization.”
“The true-cloud architecture of 3E was an important factor in our decision, but also ensuring that we chose a solution that would provide the greatest operational benefits to the firm,” added Gurveer Virdi, Finance Director at Leigh Day. “Of all the solutions we considered, 3E stood out as the clear choice to underpin our business both now and in the future.”
For its implementation, Leigh Day will be supported by Elite Premier Delivery Partner Helm360, a leading legal technology provider with more than 700 employees worldwide and decades of experience in implementation of best-of-breed legal technology solutions such as 3E.
