How design agencies work with AI according to Epigram

There has been extensive debate about AI’s impact on creative jobs, widely discussed in countless online articles and design studios alike. At Epigram, one of our core values is around agility, ensuring we move with the times to ensure we continue to meet and exceed our clients expectations. AI is no different, we have invested (and will continue to invest) significant time in understanding the plethora of AI tools out there, and how they can be leveraged to enhance our creative offering, help us to be more efficient and potentially reduce clients’ budgets and timeframes for creative projects.

We have a dedicated internal group that is tasked with keeping their eyes on the latest tools and platforms in the AI space, so we can find the right ones for us and our clients.

We don’t fear AI, but see it as another tool to help us serve our clients even better, by opening the door to amazing technology and innovation.

So, how do we use AI on the daily here at Epigram?

Voiceovers: We often work with voiceover studios to book actors and production staff for our animation and podcast projects. This is great, but requires significant cost and time, which means it’s not always an option when both of these are limited. Using an AI voiceover platform enables us to source AI enabled, real people’s voices and have access to a wealth of different voices and accents that can be accessed quickly and with minimal editing. This AI service means we can offer voiceovers on our projects at a lower price-point than the traditional studio offering and reducing the barrier to entry for many firms.

We have used AI voice overs on podcasts, animations and conferences all with great results.

Bring static images to life: Our AI learning group here at Epigram uncovered a great tool that enables us to create animated versions of still imagery. This was used on a presentation deck for one of our client’s Partner Conferences and gave new life to what was previously a static image. Animation and video content can be time consuming to create, so tools like this mean we can enhance our clients presentations in a flash!

Generate bespoke images: Generative AI software can bring our creative ideas to life efficiently, which means we can generate the right images to support our clients content when we need them. Software like this is improving all the time, but it still needs a skilled creative to input the prompts that deliver the best results.

We have used image generators to create supporting visuals for brochures and adverts.
