Have you considered enhancing the value of your iManage platform? See how with Ascertus
iManage Work is the document and email management solution (DMS) of choice in the legal world. There can be no contention. 80% of the Global 100 and 77% of the AM Law 100 law firms, alongside 37% of the Fortune 100 organisations, are iManage customers. In EMEA, 87% of the top 100 European law firms use iManage. In the UK, 92% of the top 50 are iManage customers.
iManage Work is a business critical application that not only stores the firm’s documents, work products and other business data, it also facilitates collaboration and productivity gains. Users can work from anywhere and from any device, and time-saving functionalities such as personalised search are a god send, especially for time-poor lawyers. iManage Work is also tightly integrated with the Office 365 suite – the toolset that users live and breathe in alongside the DMS. Consequently, iManage Work genuinely delivers business benefit.
There is, however, scope for more. The great thing about iManage Work is that its value can be easily extended by integrating a number of document management-related, third-party solutions. The platform is designed to facilitate this, and in fact, iManage actively supports companies offering solutions and services that extend the value of the DMS for customers. The iManage ecosystem is vast, from additional functionality /solution area standpoint, and global with wide-ranging certified partners spread across the world.
So, with iManage Work sitting at the heart of the organisation, as the secure and central repository of data, there are six solutions areas that represent the ‘low hanging fruit’ when it comes to ways in which the return on investment in the platform can be enhanced. They are:
- Digital signatures – By integrating digital signatures in the work product and document development workflow, it’s estimated that, typically, it takes 15 minutes or less to complete 44% of agreements and one day or less to complete 79% of agreements.
- Document automation – Such tools provide automated templates and standardised processes so that lawyers can easily turn around the latest firm-approved versions of error-free documents, with accuracy and consistent branding. Risk is minimised and compliance ensured.
- Data synchronisation – Establishing a two-way data synchronisation between iManage Work and the firm’s file sharing system can allow lawyers to easily share documents with a few clicks, whilst securely retaining the information in the original location. This is an excellent alternative to sharing documents purely via file sharing system such as HighQ, which has high storage costs associated with it.
- Knowledge management – Integrating iManage Work with a knowledge management system helps to deliver curated knowledge and collective intelligence to lawyers. It’s a tool that helps to leverage IP and gain a competitive edge.
- Contract review – With such tools, the turnaround time of contracts is much faster and the administrative burden much lower.
- Collaboration – It’s possible to create an inter-connected environment that fosters true and real-time collaboration by seamlessly integrating iManage Work with other tools and processes.
