Two new UK Top 50 iManage clients move to the cloud
Mills & Reeve is set to migrate to the iManage Cloud assisted by integration partner. Mills & Reeve is the second UK top 50 iManage client this week to announce that they are to move to the iManage Cloud: yesterday (25 October) DWF revealed that it is moving to the Microsoft Azure-hosted platform with the help of implementation partner Morae Global.
During a multi-phase two-year project, our integration partner will migrate over 85 million documents to the iManage Cloud for Mills & Reeve and will manage the transition of over 1,200 staff (including more than 600 lawyers), who are based in seven offices across the UK.
Our partners says that a key aspect of the migration will be the transformation of Mills & Reeve’s existing legacy apps and SQL code into universal API-approved installations, as well as the conversions of iManage integrations (including PMS integrations) to cloud-compliant versions in order to streamline user’s iManage workflows once live in the cloud. This will be managed by our partners development team, and project delivery department.
Mills & Reeve’s diverse client-base includes individuals and organisations such as FTSE 250 firms and fast-growth start-ups. The firm’s DMS upgrade and cloud move forms part of its digital transformation strategy, which focuses heavily on end-user experience.
Iain Cushion, IT Director at Mills & Reeve, commented: “After a full review of all UK iManage Partners, our team were united in our selection. The team’s unrivalled technical expertise and unparalleled customer service were key drivers in our selection. From initial engagement onwards, They have gone above and beyond to share expertise and deliver effective results for our firm. We look forward to continuing our relationship with their team in the coming months as the project further unfolds.”
DWF, meanwhile, which has over 30 offices, is a long-time customer of iManage Work, on-premises, and was an early adopter of iManage Cloud in Australia. We’re told that due to the unprecedented change in working practices and challenges caused by the pandemic – among them being remote working, increased cyber security burden, and competition for legal talent – the decision was made to undergo a comprehensive review of the firm’s business and technology requirements for the new post pandemic environment.
DWF selected iManage Cloud for its high security standards, proven scalability, performance, and native integration with Microsoft Office 365 and Teams – all critical requirements for hybrid working, today and in the future.
“Our selection of the iManage Cloud is an important and long-term decision for our firm,” said Daniel Pollick, CIO at DWF. “We are invested in Microsoft technology – it underpins our integrated services model and is the preferred interface for our lawyers. iManage offers us the best combination of legal-focussed user functionality, security and seamless integration that we need to help us optimise our investments in Microsoft while leveraging the strengths of iManage to enhance our information governance across the business.”
Pollick added: “We look forward to working with Morae, our iManage implementation partner, who will be supporting us every step of the way, to help us migrate to the iManage Cloud and optimise the solution for our needs.”
David Malkinson, senior managing director at Morae, commented: “For a firm to draw the most value, the document management system must seamlessly integrate with the organisation’s ‘systems of engagement and insight’. This provides users the modern collaboration capabilities, access to knowledge assets, information security, and the ability to truly drive data-driven decisions. We are excited to lend our expertise to enable DWF to achieve all of this, and more. iManage Cloud migration and Microsoft integration are areas that we have extensive experience in, having delivered hundreds of successful projects, including for some of the largest and most complex in the legal industry.”
