SH&P selects NetDocuments to support its modernisation strategy

NetDocuments the leading secure cloud-based content services platform for law firms, corporate legal teams and compliance departments, today announced that European patent and trade mark attorneys Stevens Hewlett & Perkins (SH&P) has selected NetDocuments as its new Document Management System (DMS).

SH&P are a leading specialist firm of intellectual property (IP) lawyers with a team predominantly based in Bristol, who have helped thousands of businesses, from small sized to multi-national FTSE100 companies, to secure and maintain their IP assets in all corners of the globe.

As part of its modernisation strategy to maximise its competitiveness and provide exemplary level of service for its clients, SH&P required a DMS to safely and effectively collaborate on files. The global pandemic further accelerated this need, as it became essential for staff to be able to easily share documents from any location, or any device.

“Our plans changed from a ‘want’ to a ‘need’ as soon as the world went home at the start of lockdown. We suddenly had most people across the organisation working remotely so our solution selection became less about delivering a DMS, and more about delivering an agile solution that could allow anyone to work on any matter, at any time, from anywhere”, commented Camille Bates, Partner at SH&P.

“We had a shortlist of five providers from an inhouse review of needs versus costs to implement a paperless solution. NetDocuments were the clear leaders, demonstrating seamless secure connectivity with Outlook and our internal IP-specialised databases as a key delivery factor that will enable our team to improve processes and work in an increasingly agile manner.”

Robin Webster, Partner at SH&P said: “Configuration was a huge deciding factor for us and NetDocuments along with implementation partner AIT stood out in this regard. The team have been most accommodating throughout the whole process, providing an ease of communication, ensuring that the offering is right, particularly around year two costs and bending over backwards to get us up and running.”

Guy Phillips, Vice President International Business at NetDocuments said: “As organisations of all sizes talk to us about their challenges and ambitions, the recurring themes of security, scalability and connectivity delivered by the cloud stand out. It’s great to be working with SH&P as it really shows how NetDocuments can help organisations of all sizes accelerate their journeys towards enabling highly secure cloud-based working environments.”

NetDocuments is the world’s #1 trusted Document management platform where legal professionals do their best work.
