Rapid client growth fuels largest ever Aderant Momentum Europe Conference in London
With its notable addition of several new clients in the European region, Aderant hosted its largest ever annual EMEA client conference, Momentum Europe, on 15-16 October at the Royal Garden Hotel Kensington in London.
Over the two-day event, attendees gained insight into the accelerating shifts for the legal industry and how evolving legal technology will provide the necessary framework for law firms to achieve success. During the opening session, CEO Deane Price showcased the importance of clients to the company’s success by investing in a 30% growth in the services and support departments. Executive Vice President, Chris Cartrett, presented a five-year vision on changing law firm operations and how Aderant is focused on enabling internal and external collaboration, automating routine tasks with machine learning, and maximising the use of cloud computing to support this accelerating change. This strategic vision will empower firms to spend more time on legal strategy and less time on tactical work.
Standing room only, hands-on sessions captivated clients in programs with Aderant’s experts in a setting that encouraged questions whilst moving through relevant exercises. A look at upcoming knowledge management product releases sparked additional client enthusiasm.
Aderant recognised four firms for their partnership: Stephenson Harwood was presented “Newcomer of the Year” for their excellent example of an effortless collaborative project with implementing Aderant Expert and additional solutions. Shepherd & Wedderburn was named “Innovator of the Year” for their agile response to client demands with increased case volume. Pinsent Masons earned the “Better Together” award for their collaborative spirit to ensuring a solution adapted to changes with the recent initiative by the UK government, Making Tax Digital. Lastly, Mark Lake of Travers Smith received the “Hall of Fame” award for epitomising what makes an exceptional advocate of Aderant and the Aderant vision.

Aderant’s experts will continue the “momentum” from this event by taking cues from the most popular sessions and upcoming releases to develop a series of roadshows to take place throughout the UK in early 2020.
Aderant looks forward to hosting many EMEA clients for Global Momentum 2020 in Dallas, Texas on 4-7 May for a wider range of session content and global networking. The regional conference will return to London with specialised sessions in the fall of 2020.
