Phase 1

Mapping out the website

We began the website process focusing on the User Experience (UX) design and navigational path across the site. We wanted to ensure users could easily navigate the legal services and examine what pages had enough content, versus what pages required more content for SEO purposes and site quality. Once the sitemap was mapped out and signed off using a tool called Flowmapp – a collaborative platform that allowed us to work with Goodman Ray on the prototype – we moved onto the website prototype designs; bringing the plans to life and refreshing the Goodman Ray brand with a strong image focus.

Phase 2

Designing the website

Goodman Ray’s original website leant strongly towards dark colours with a heavy grey. We listened to their requirements in our initial project meeting, which included making the website vibrant, bright and fresh with strong imagery.

Our Lead Designer, Arminta, went away and produced some stunning prototypes with a clean, crisp white background and a mix of blues that complimented the Goodman Ray logo. Arminta then introduced a yellow accent colour for buttons and call-to-actions, which really gives the site a nice pop alongside the primary blue.

The design focused on incorporating the blue in the Goodman Ray logo, with a fresh new look and quirky shapes which could then be introduced into the social media designs. Coupled with strong imagery, the site really came to life.

Developing the website

We developed Goodman Ray’s new website around the popular WordPress platform. We custom coded the website to ensure it was extremely performant for clients using the website and to enhance search engine rankings. The website is intelligently linked together to enhance day-to-day operations, such as adding a new team member is reflected across the site, removing the need to update multiple areas manually.

Goodman Ray’s website and brand-new look is ready!

We’ve got a fresh appearance and strong imagery, a prominent and easy-to-navigate mega menu which expands to show all services in one click and is fixed so can be accessed at any point of scrolling; as well as a tone of voice that’s relatable for everyone, not just lawyers. The contact forms and buttons are consistently positioned throughout the site so that at any point of the user journey, the client can easily click a button and get in touch. That yellow secondary colour gives the CTAs a real pop to make visitors familiar with the colour and associate it with contacting Goodman Ray. Overall, everything improves the experience for the client, which was the overarching objective.

The website is modern, exciting to look at and this new look strengthens the Goodman Ray brand across the digital landscape.
