Osprey’s CEO re-elected as chair of LSSA
Osprey Approach is delighted to announce that its CEO, Craig Matthews, has been re-elected as Chair of the Legal Software Suppliers Association (LSSA) for a third year. The LSSA is the trusted voice of the UK legal technology industry, which includes developers and vendors.
The LSSA is responsible for setting and maintaining professional standards within the legal software industry and manages areas of mutual interest between lawyers and software providers. The LSSA has links with several legislative bodies – including the Land Registry, HMRC and The Law Society – and is committed to developing clear channels of communication so that law firms can gain optimum benefit from their selected software solutions.
Craig Matthews said: – “I am delighted to have been re-elected as Chair of the LSSA, a role I have found hugely rewarding over the past two years. The work of the LSSA has never been more important, as law firms continue to adapt and develop their business models, including their IT infrastructure, to ensure they are well placed to remain competitive in 2021 and beyond.
“I am excited to build on our strong position over the next 12 months, which will see us build on a number of new initiatives to help our members, such as Ask the LSSA.”
Ask the LSSA recognises the extensive knowledge base available within the LSSA, and the not-for-profit organisation is encouraging the legal community to tap into this as a key resource, as Matthews explains: –
“The LSSA probably has the widest range of legal technology experts in the UK. Our members are passionate about what they do and are keen to share their knowledge for the benefit of all law firms. Although still in its infancy, we have already received some interesting enquiries through Ask the LSSA, which we’ve been able to assist with, and we’d really welcome the opportunity to help the wider legal community.
“I am looking forward to continuing to develop our strong relationships with those involved in the legal tech industry and ensuring that firms turn to the LSSA as their first port of call for all legal software requirements,” Matthews added.
