Capital Law draw on expertise of Baskerville Drummond to select Linetime
Baskerville Drummond have released a case study outlining why Capital Law selected Linetime to replace the incumbent ‘end of life’ system. The full case study can be downloaded here with a synopsis following:
As part of an on-going IT renewal program and their current system moving to ‘end of life’, Capital Law employed the services of Baskerville Drummond. Utilising discovery sessions on needs and wants and users’ working practices and day-to-day experience, Baskerville Drummond took the approach to ensure the recommended systems were easy to use, feature rich with first-rate support.
David Baskerville provided the tender, conducted interviews and advised the partnership during the final decision-making process. Capital Law ultimately selected Linetime, seeing a good fit in terms of functionality, value and vendor style.
With David Baskerville’s guidance, the firm was able to make a more measured evaluation of its technology choices while also addressing some legacy performance problems. As a result, it is now well set to build confidently around a Linetime/iManage core.
Rhys Davies, IT Director at Capital Law says, “Having started my role at Capital mid-process, I had no prior experience of practice management systems. My fears relating to my lack of knowledge in this area were quickly allayed by the level of in-depth knowledge and the pragmatic approach David displayed as part of the selection process. This gave me comfort that we would select a system that could drive our business forward and meet its future growth plans.”
David Baskerville points to the ideal system not always aligning to the requirements of the firm, “It’s very easy for firms to select a system that doesn’t actually deliver on their needs. Mostly, that is due to which brands they know of but often, many factors are not considered such as the complexities. Ultimately, it’s our role to ensure we are constantly reviewing the market and selecting the system that meets the needs. On this occasion, Linetime was well suited as straightforward to deploy and good value, with first-rate support. We will continue to advise and guide Capital Law and their project team while working alongside Linetime to complete installation later in the year.”
Adam Bullion, General Manager of Marketing comments on the growing reputation of Linetime, “Linetime is possibly one of the best kept secrets in the mid-tier market. It’s a very powerful software and we are winning forward thinking clients such as Capital Law. As Linetime, we are focused on delivering a best in class service on top of the software. We are delighted to once again be working alongside Baskerville Drummond who are an excellent consultancy with a rigorous selection process for us providers.”
