What is it like to work for Intelligent Office?

17 years ago, Margaret McPherson set up Intelligent Office.

Since our inception, we have always been about delivering a great service to our law firm clients which we achieve by investing in, supporting, developing and rewarding the employees that deliver it.

We are continually recognised for our commitment to fostering this positive culture, achieving the Gold Investors In People (IIP) accreditation in 2012 and 2015, and this year achieving Platinum standard—currently only held by 0.8% of UK companies.

Our continued success repeatedly confirms that law firms value the work that we do in supporting the wellbeing of all staff, both those we recruit directly and those who transfer to us, and the improved quality of service delivery fee earners get as a result.

Some of the Intelligent Office team speak about their experience of how they are able to provide the high quality of service that their clients expect…

Robbie Foggo, Business Services Manager

“It’s important for us to always look for new ways to be innovative. You can’t rest on your laurels; today’s great new idea soon becomes tomorrow’s standard. Law firms strive for perfection at all times, so we encourage our teams to do the same.”

“The large network of people at Intelligent Office means that the solution to most questions is rarely far away. This expertise is then channelled into improving the service on all sites. To use a cliché: a rising tide lifts all ships.”

Lorraine Cameron, Operations Director

“It’s crucial we adapt, change, and keep up to date with what is going on in the industry, so we can anticipate what the client will need—hopefully before they realise it themselves!”

Rosie Chahal, Business Services Manager

“Our business nature means we make time to find ways to add value, create saving, and review processes, which are likely to be overlooked in-house. We can only do this because our management teams have a structure that provides support such as coaching on how to propose new ways of working.”

“Law firms are demanding but for all the right reasons and if you’re not willing to try your best, it’s not an environment that you will thrive in.”

Juliet Clarke, Business Services Manager

“My current site is a shining example of where the team were not nurtured and valued as much as they might have been and in the short time Intelligent Office has been here, there is a different, more positive feel to everything.”

Usmaan Butt, Administration Manager

“I focus on delivering a highly effective service that can adapt to my clients’ needs and adds value to the work they do. Law firms are unique throughout; They may not want to admit it, but you can find teams in the same department operating in completely different ways. Being in tune with your client’s world is key to ensuring a fruitful relationship.”

Aimee Burns, Implementation Manager

“Processes are only as good as the people carrying them out and that is why it is so important we get the people/employee stuff right. The service(s) we offer are not one-size-fits-all, it takes time to adjust the detail to properly partner with the client and ensure processes fit their requirements.”

Our commitment to developing the Intelligent Office team has attracted the industry’s most talented, dedicated, and passionate people. We work hard to maximise the output and fulfilment of each individual—it’s a culture employees experience from the moment they are transferred to us. It’s because of them we are able to offer the high quality of service that exceeds client expectations again and again.

If you choose to outsource your administrative support services to Intelligent Office, you will be working with dedicated, passionate, and expert employees just like these—to speak to them privately about our services and/or their experience, email emma.toptas@intelligentofficeuk.com. We’re extremely proud of the work we do and would be happy to share our experience with you.
