NetDocuments Elevate features productivity, performance and security enhancements
NetDocuments, the leading secure cloud-based content services platform for law firms, corporate legal teams and compliance departments, kicked-off Elevate 2019 in Salt Lake City, Utah, its annual North American customer and partner conference, showcasing productivity tools delivered directly to the workspace underscoring the mantra “NetDocuments is where you do work.”
Based on feedback from interviews with hundreds of customers and partners this year, NetDocuments unveiled new products and enhancements built to make customers more productive and enable them to leverage the power of the NetDocuments platform.
“We are committed to our customers’ success. For NetDocuments, that begins with listening to customer needs, which shaped our goals of making our applications perform faster while supporting their everyday workflows,” stated NetDocuments CEO Josh Baxter. “Our customers were thrilled to hear about what we’ve delivered and the vision we’ve set forth for productivity.”
NetDocuments productivity tools and enhancements featured at Elevate 2019 include:
Workspace Security Manager: To secure workspaces and support ‘need-to-know environments’, NetDocuments has introduced Workspace Security Manager (WSM). As many organizations are considering re-architecting their approach to information security, WSM makes this easy by allowing IT and risk professionals to lock down workspaces from a single administrative interface. WSM will be added to NetDocuments’ rich array of security solutions for data governance and compliance including:
Data Lost Prevention (DLP): Classify content and apply policies to manage content exfiltration deep in the platform not at the perimeter where the loss has already occurred
Extended global capability with new datacenters located in Germany for early 2020
Billions of files encrypted with maximum entropy to protect against growing cyber threat
Compliance to ISO, SOC, GDPR, and future FedRAMP
CollabSpaces enable NetDocuments users to easily share content externally without compromising security. CollabSpaces function as a “data room” within a workspace in NetDocuments that can easily be administered by users without the need for IT support. With CollabSpaces, NetDocuments customers no longer need to move content to a third-party file-sharing service or extranet platform. CollabSpaces are available to existing customers starting October 15.
ndFlexStore Pro: With a new “Pro” version, NetDocuments extends its ndFlexStore technology – first introduced in 2016 – that enables customers to physically store their documents and emails anywhere in the world. NetDocuments maintains several global datacenters, but ndFlexStore makes it easy to store documents in Azure or on-premises environments while maintaining a ‘single library’ for the user. The introduction of ndFlexStore Pro adds a Content Server for local processing for document IO, storage management, and cryptography. ndFlexStore Pro enables customers to ‘shrink the world’ by boosting document access speeds while maintaining local processing and data residency for sovereignty purposes.
ndMail for O365 unlocks the power of filing emails to NetDocuments on mobile, Outlook for MacOS, Outlook Web Access and Outlook for Windows. Using ndMail, users can file emails to NetDocuments from anywhere no matter the device, quickly and securely. ndMail for O365 utilizes a powerful prediction engine to help users find the right matter or project to save a message to.
SetBuilder continues the theme of sharing documents by providing an easy way for users to combine and organize sets of documents in one location entirely within the secure NetDocuments infrastructure. Popular for deal closings, SetBuilder, officially launched May 1, lets users create highly customizable “binders” of documents that can be exported into a single PDF for easy distribution.
“We are excited about our growing ecosystem of products,” said Dan Hauck, Chief Product Officer. “Each one is designed to solve real problems faced by professional organizations around the world. Together, they represent an unmatched suite of productivity and governance solutions that work in harmony inside our single global platform.”
Now managing over 9.1 billion files across more than 2,700 global customer firms, NetDocuments global cloud service continues to add, on average, two new customers per day. Implementations of the NetDocuments platform are on record pace with more than 435 customer firms having gone live on NetDocuments in the last 12 months.
In addition to the product innovations shared this week, NetDocuments presented the Customer Zero Award. Smith Hartvigsen, a boutique practice in downtown Salt Lake City and the first law firm to use NetDocuments 21 years ago, is the inaugural recipient.
The NetDocuments Elevate Conference featured more than 20 interactive sessions, panels and keynotes presented by a variety of NetDocuments, customer and partner subject matter experts and thought leaders. Elevate was held October 6-8 in Salt Lake City, at the Grand America Hotel. For a complete conference agenda, please click here.
