Walker Morris invests in Lexis Visualfiles to deliver efficiencies and create market differentiation
Top 100 UK multi-disciplinary law firm Walker Morris is investing in Lexis® Visualfiles™ to deliver the stringent technology, efficiency and risk management requirements of customers and effectively compete with other high calibre law firms in its market segment. Initially the solution will be deployed to the firm’s mortgage repossession department, with a subsequent implementation to 100 users in the Collections & Recoveries and Banking & Finance Litigation departments.
Rob Aberdein, Partner at Walker Morris, explained the rationale for this investment, “We are a progressive and ambitious law firm, so investing in the right technology is key. The great thing about Visualfiles is that it can be deployed in the business exactly as we want it to be. At one end of the spectrum, it allows us the flexibility to develop new and innovative ways of working that will set us noticeably apart in the industry. At the other end, we can simply use the standard functionality for everyday operations such as time recording. With all of this, we can use the Visualfiles Robot technology to remove human interaction and automate processes to ensure that we are as efficient as possible; which is vital when managing large volume of transactions.”
Rob added, “Considering litigation, no two cases are alike because it isn’t a linear process and there are innumerable, complex variants between matters. Having workflows and fundamental decision-making processes that guide lawyers and paralegals through the core and administrative tasks, enables the individuals to focus on the legal complexities that require expert judgement rather than the more repetitive lower skill work. The efficiencies delivered facilitate competitive pricing, reduce risk and ultimately deliver a better client service.”
Walker Morris is replacing its in-house system with Visualfiles to enable the firm to take advantage of the next era of case management.
Explaining the reasons for selecting Visualfiles, Rob commented, “There are many case management solutions on the market, but Visualfiles’ malleability is unique. It’s a platform that we can quickly implement and easily build upon. It will also offer us the flexibility to take advantage of a vast ecosystem of products to enable us to leverage operational efficiencies and create differentiation from other firms.”
“Visualfiles is proven, but future-proof too. I have witnessed its journey over the years, and it has stood the test of time. It is as current today as it was when it first came to the market. The solution just doesn’t stand still. LexisNexis’ investment capability and commitment, combined with ongoing customer engagement, ensures that Visualfiles advances to meet the evolving needs of law firms. So, for example, when we look to leverage much talked about technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, we know that LexisNexis will deliver. This is a huge plus.”
