FileTrail integration with NetDocuments at ndElevate EMEA
One of the highlights for FileTrail at the recent ndElevate EMEA conference in London was the presentation by Leonard Johnson, SVP of product & partnerships at NetDocuments.
We’ve received a lot of questions about the screenshot that Leonard shared during his presentation – a preview of the FileTrail tab feature in NetDocuments, which will be available in early 2019 (updated below):
How it will work
Once the custom tab feature becomes available from NetDocuments, your admin will be able to select “FileTrail” as a product to display in a separate tab on the workspace template.
The FileTrail tab will make it more straightforward for your lawyers and staff to access records information without leaving the NetDocuments application. With just one click, you’ll be able to see a larger area displaying physical records and other records management tools to automate retrieval, creation and review for disposition. Your users will also be able to request core business services like copying, faxing, shipping and scanning via the configurable task request feature.
Key milestones in our collaboration
This will be another great milestone in FileTrail’s ongoing collaboration with NetDocuments since we first partnered in 2014.
The new addition to our UI integration nicely complements our back-end integration, which enables firms to apply retention policies to their files in NetDocuments, display a single view of physical and electronic records from all repositories, and automate information governance workflows.
FileTrail has worked with NetDocuments on joint implementations at North American firms such as Nelson Mullins, Davis Wright and Tremaine, and Miller Nash Graham & Dunn.
We’ve also been pleased to see FileTrail clients like Husch Blackwell moving from legacy DM to NetDocuments, precisely because of the deep integration we’ve demonstrated.
And now, we’re also working with Tikit – a global provider of technology solutions for law firms and also a NetDocuments partner – with FileTrail helping to complete Tikit’s information governance offering by providing a solution for records retention, internal enforcement of outside counsel guidelines and matter mobility.
